Insert Image in ACADLT 2008?

Insert Image in ACADLT 2008?

HELP!!

Does anyone know how to insert an image in ACADLT 2008?  This feature seems to have been dropped from the program.  I insert images for the following uses:

1) For the reasons we used to use stickyback;
2) scan a portion of a road map for use as a location map;
3) downloaded aerial maps from LABINS and overlay the site plan for exhibits;
4) scan aerial map with contours for drainage basin boundaries;

If I open a file that already has an image file then I can use it, but there doesn't seem to be a way to insert a new image.  I had to use an older version of autocad to insert the image and then open it in 2008.  That sucks!!

Any Suggestions?

I think they pulled it in 2005 or 2006, where have you been?  There is no way to do it in LT.  You might look at some of the OEM overrun sites and buy a full version of 2007 for about the same cost as LT.

Look for LT-Extender (an Autolisp enabler for AutoCad Lt. It has image attaching/management functions that you can use for a trial period. If you do not buy the software, the good news is that the Image features are include with a number of functions that you will be able to use after the trial period has expired.

Where have I been?  I started working at my current company in 2003 and have been using 2000i ever since.  I'm amazed that they would eliminate such a useful feature.  I guess I'll keep 2000i to use as an attachment utility.

Thanks for the quick response.

You can try to paste the image in word then import an OLE object, this may work for LT.
