Does anyone know of a stiff plasticy paper/film you can use in ordinary printers.
At the moment we print drawings on ordinary paper then laminate them for the shops. This takes a lot of time and I thought there must be papers out there with similar properties.

RE: Printing direct to film

Years ago we used to load the copy machine with transparencies for making overheads - those funny things with a funky lens head that projected a square into a trapezoidal shape on the wall.

As technology evolved we were able to feed these transparent sheets directly into a laser printer.  I'm sure they are still available for laser printers.  If you are using some form of inkjet printer you should either look on the printer company's website or go to an office supply store.

I'm trying to get away from additional cost or effort, i.e. what coes out of the printer can go straight into a "dirty" enviroment.
The pockets are OK but it still means additional cost & labour in putting the drgs in them. When you have to send a complete prodject down of 250 or more drgs it's no joke.

Looks like this stuff is pretty high-dollar.  I'm guessing you'll have to factor in laminating cost and labor time to justfiy it.

Where are you sending these drawings... a coal mine?
