Two Questions on PEEQ

Two Questions on PEEQ

Two Questions on PEEQ

(OP)
1.  What is the exact relation between PEEQ and True strain of the material that we define in *Plastic card.

2. When I change the mesh in the contact region the PEEQ value shoots from 8% to 22%. Why there is so much difference? I have an edge contacting an edge, so perhaps this is a singularity in the model?

RE: Two Questions on PEEQ

PEEQ is the equivalent (accumulated) plastic strain.

RE: Two Questions on PEEQ

If you have two materials (different properties)  connected by interface displacement elements then you would have this strain-jump but the displacements and the stresses should be the same.. should not they..? please check and let us know..
