Returning back from Portrusion to Part Environment

Returning back from Portrusion to Part Environment

Returning back from Portrusion to Part Environment

(OP)
I am new user of SE and using V19.

In a part environment, I used to go to Protrusion and make a 2-D drawing in any plane, RETURN back to part environment and 3-D protrusion was possible by clicking the RETURN on ribbon bar. If there were errors in the drawing, error message was displayed and it was possible to save as 2-D failed feature. It was normal behavior of SE.
But now, it seems that if there are some errors, RETURN button of ribbon bar seems not working and no error message is dipalyed. No option dispalys to save 2-D drawing as failed feature and it seems not possible to exit from this 2-D environment and finally the solid Edge. So I am unable to close SE. Only option left is to log off the computer.
I am not sure if it requires some options settings, which migth have changed accidently.

RE: Returning back from Portrusion to Part Environment

Hi,

normally there should pop up an error window listing all errors.
If that does not pop up the chances are that the registry entry
is messed up. You might try to delete this key:

Start --> Run: key in regedit and hit OK then point to
this key, select and delete it

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 19

but only this key. The key will be recreated when SE is started. The
downside is: you loose all your settings.

OTH: when SE freezes or you can't leave the environment there is
no need to shut down the PC just do an RMB within the free space
of the windows task bar and bring up Taskmanager. There you can kill
Edge.exe.
