3D interesect
3D interesect
(OP)
Hi,
I am new to using solidworks, and am having trouble finding some of the features. I know that in CATIA there is a feature called 3D intersect. To use it, you create 2 profiles, and the resulting geometry would be the volume that is common to both profiles after they have been projected. Is there something similar to this in SW?
Thanks for the help

I believe that the CATIA function you are refering to is actually the COMBINE tool found in the GENERATIVE SHAPE DESIGN WorkBench and the corresponding tool in SOLIDWORKS is the PROJECTED CURVE with the SKETCH ON SKETCH option selected...hope this helps
