Your thoughts on convergence

Your thoughts on convergence

(OP)
Hi,

I added a rought surface constrain in WB, and now the solution seems to take forever.  It's currently processing the 19th iteration and the solution has not been converging steadily.  It seems like it converges for a few iterations, then makes one big diverging step and so the cycle goes on.  It gets a little better each cycle, but the force convergence value is in the order of 10^5.

Do you have any tips on how to determin if a solution will or will not finally converge?

Pingen
