Pressure Equipment Directive Overpressure during fire

(OP)
Dear all!

European Directive about Pressure Equipment (PED 97/23) states in its Annex I that safety valves overpressure shall not exceed 10%. Does anybody know if it applies to fire exposure as well or other maximum overpressure (i.e 21%) can be used in that emergency case?

Regards

RE: Pressure Equipment Directive Overpressure during fire
