Drawing Graphics Issues

Drawing Graphics Issues

Drawing Graphics Issues

(OP)
Happy Friday Everyone,
I'm having graphics issues with drawings I'm working on. It seems when I re-open the drawing the geometry is falling out in certain areas in views on a multi-sheet drawing. I updated the graphics driver yesterday though the SW site, but still having problems. One of my co-workers just loaded SP 3.1 for testing, and opened my same problem drawing with no luck. The only work around is to toggle between “Draft Quality” and “High Quality” and seems to temporally fix it. When saved and re-open the problem is back.

What really bothering me is that when DC releases the print, they won’t know to do this and the drawing will be pictorially incorrect.

My drawing views are created from a SW assy and I added splines in the views for wiring paths (working on a harness assy). Could this be the problem?

RE: Drawing Graphics Issues

I seen a customer with a problem like this... it turned out to be bad geometry in 2 of parts of the assembly. To find the issue we used Tools\Check to find the General faults in the model. The part was imported so it made it easier to find. They other part was one made by the customer and it was a fillet. So after those parts were removed (for testing purposes) the views were fine in the drawing. So the need was for them to repair the models and then the drawing should be fine.

Hey Scott,
I'm looking at the Tools>Check>Check Entity and seems to have a lot of options. I used the defaults and it checked fine. When I selected some of the other options, I start to show results in the "Results List". Is that the problems I need to fix?

Thanks,

Colin

Thanks Scott. I'm working with DDI our VAR on this issue. It seems it's more than just the geometry issue. I'll be back if I get a fix on this.

Best,

Colin
