Recessed Escutcheons

Recessed Escutcheons

Recessed Escutcheons

(OP)
I have a facility which originally had Central GB-Alpha sprinkler heads. The heads were replaced due to the O-Ring recall, but the contractor did not replace the two piece recessed escutcheons in the ceiling drywall and suspended ceiling tiles. My client has asked me to replace several of the "outside rings" which have fallen and been lost. The problem is I need 12 chrome recessed escutcheon rings which have 1 3/4 in. inside diameters and I can only find escutcheon rings with 1 7/8 in. and 2 in. inside diameters. The three piece "retrofit" escutcheons will be difficult to use because I will have a very difficult time removing the escutcheon parts which are attached to the threaded base of the sprinkler heads. I am trying to complete this task without removing or replacing the smaller of the two escutcheon parts (the part which is attached to the threaded base of the sprinkler heads).

Does anyone know where I can purchase 12 chrome recessed escutcheons for suspended ceiling tiles which have 1 3/4 in. inside diameters?  The existing escutcheons were manufactured by Central, but TYCO has sold all they had in stock. Do any manufacturers sell recessed escutcheons which have 1 3/4 in. inside diameter rings???

Thanks

Good suggestion.......I have tried E-Bay with no success!!

RE: Recessed Escutcheons

As a sprinkler contractor I've had this problem about ten times in the past few years. As far as I know there is no compatible plate available. I've had to change the upper and lower escutcheon each time. Certain Star sprinklers also have this size plate.
