RE: Corrosion website

Looking forward to visiting it. Let us know when you complete it.

RE: Corrosion website

It will be a good idea. As I work in an oil refinery, from my point of vew, your website should have a on line forum discussion dedicated to oil refining in what it concerns corrosion, process, design, materials, new technologies, maintenance, inspection,FCCU reactor & regenerator case stories,Hydrocracker  and Coker case stories and also Refinery acident failures.
This is maybe too much for you!

Good luck and let us know when you complete it.

Its a laudable intention, but are you aware of Pierre Roberge's "corrosion-doctors.org" web-site. How will your web-site differ?

RE: Corrosion website

Nigel,

I've used a lot of time the corrosion-doctor website and i found it very useful.
However looking on the internet i've never found a website where is possible to find all kind of information that i need, as a corrosion engineer, for my job like; standard, materials properties, guidelines for welding and materials selection..
For exmaple on the corrosion-doctor i've never seen a link to the Norsok Software for CO2 corrosion, or to other Software, or links to website reagarding materials properties.
Or i've found a lot of good guidelines for welding and materials selection that are not mentioned.
My website was born as a personal tool for my job, where i'll link all the website and documents that i use. Now i think that it can be useful also to other people involved in Corrosion & MAterials selection, as a starting point when searching for all kind of information related to Corrosion & MAterials selection.
I've used also a tool of Google to make websearch restricted to website that in my opinion are useful for a Corrosion Engineer so to have more accurate resuts, it's just an idea maybe it will be useful.
It's a new website and i'll try to updated it whit new informations.

Thanks
Regards

Vict
