How do I break dimension lines

How do I break dimension lines  in the draft environment when they cross another dimension line. Is this possible?

It would make my drawings a lot nicer.

Best regards,

Ok, so no need to look for it anymore.

Thanks for the information.

RE: How do I break dimension lines

Don't give up yet.  There are two work arounds you might consider.  1.  For dimension text that's blocked by other elements:  RMC the text/select properties/text/turn on fill with background color/OK.  If it's still covered, RMC/select move to front.  2.  For dimension lines crossing extension lines:  Insert a text box with a space character at that spot and set the textbox to fill with background color.  Next move the dimension line to the front as above.  The drawback to this is it's not dynamic and can become unattached.

Hope this helps!

RE: How do I break dimension lines

For your info, as per ASME Y14.5M-1994, there is no need to break dimension lines when they cross, but just try to avoid them as much as possible.

RE: How do I break dimension lines

Don, one of the V20 Youtube videos toffeet posted a link to confirms it, break lines are now available and they're dynamic too.
