Noise on the airport's communications
Noise on the airport's communications
(OP)
We have a distribution power line of 34.5 Kv going to the Airport of La Ceiba, Honduras. There are 4 three phase transformers banks feeding different parts of the airport, however, it seems that our power line are producing a noise to the communication system of the airport. Can somebody help me as to resolve the problem. We have done some things, but unfortunately they were not successful.

RE: Noise on the airport's communications
Most likely a bad insulator or bad connection somewhere. Transformers are not the most likely suspect. If you have a cheap portable am radio, you may be able to narrow down the location of the noise source, assuming it is even on your power system.
