(OP)
I am working on creating a remote wireless throttle control for a 20 year old detroit diesel engine. I would like to know if anyone knows how the battery, starter, solenoid, and alternator are wired to an ammeter, DC contacts and a start button.

thanks ahead of time.

RE: 20 year old detroit diesel engine

There should be a schematic in most any auto or truck shop manual that will be pretty close to what you need.  Nothing you've mentioned there is unique to a Diesel.
