Heating Oil Tracing - Allowance for Thermal Expansion

Heating Oil Tracing - Allowance for Thermal Expansion

(OP)
I am currently trying to look at determining the correct size and frequency of expansion loops in a hot oil heat tracing system designed for 572F (300C).  I have done some preliminary calculations and these calculations are indicating a requirement for a relative large loop (30in (750mm) leg at 50ft (15m) centers on both 3/4" Sch80 pipe tracing and 3/4OD 316SS tube tracing)

Does anyone have any data for expansion loops in hot oil tracing lines at similar temperatures that I could use as a reality check?

I note Thermon does have info on their Website, however it appears to be limited to steam tracing running at half the temperatue.

All assistance is appreciated.

Regards

CSGWB.
