I have siemens 7SA62 and 7SA611 for distance and overcurrent protection purposes in my substation. Sometimes I got "Power System Failure xx" message, xx is a number specifiying the real couse of the event. Is there a complete list where i can quick find the hitch by looking at the fault number, or should i connect to the device and anlyse the record anytime a "power system fault xx" record dropped.

RE: 7Sj62--7SA611 Fault Records

Are you sure that the exact text is "Power System Failure" ? After fast search in the Manual I cannot find such text in default messages. But it could be also some site-specific text. I need to see configuration file of the relay to make some conclusion.
Anyway you can download Manual for 7SA61, as for any Syprotec relays from here:

Good luck!

It may be like this in theory and practice, but in real life it is completely different.

it sure that the log is power system fault xx. But the two digit number is not a fault code, it is some kind of a counter, increasing at every fault. I got the 14th fault, power system fault 14, last evening.
Most of the faults are from 50(N)/51(N), that is due to surface flashover. Substation is in a dusty environment. To overcome the problem, si-coat 570 is planning to be applied.

Does anybody used si-coat 570, or any other coatings. what are the comments?

thanx.
