Custom Property File?

Custom Property File?

Custom Property File?

(OP)
In System Options, under File Locations there is an entry for Custom Property File.

Does this have something to do with custom properties per part and/or assy?  Does anyone know how to utilize this?

Thanks

Quote (SW Help):

You can edit the list of custom properties.

To edit custom properties:

Click Edit List on the Custom tab of the Summary Information dialog box.

The Edit List dialog box with the list of properties appears.

You can do one of the following:

Add. Type a name in the box and click Add.

Delete. Select a property from the list and click Delete.

Move Up. Select a property from the list and click Move Up.

Move Down. Select a property from the list and click Move Down.

You can also edit the text file where the properties are stored, using any text editor. The text file is named properties.txt, and its default file location is <install_dir>\lang\english.

To change the default file location:

Click Options  (Standard toolbar) or Tools, Options.

Select File Locations.

In Show folders for, select Custom Property File.

In Folders, select the current folder location, then click Delete.

Click Add.

In the Browse For Folder dialog box, browse to a new location, then click OK.

The new path appears in Folders.

Click OK.
