Barred Tees

Barred Tees

Barred Tees

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find typical mechanical details for the bars in a barred tee (size, spacing, etc).  The lead time for purchasing a barred tee is too long, so we'd like to just purchase a tee and have them weld the bars in it in the field.  The tees we need are 12 X 12, 12 x 8, 12 x 4, and 16 x 12.  Thanks!!

RE: Barred Tees

I have a detail of a barred tee, this is an AutoCAD file. I'm not sure how to get it to you thought? One question why would you need bars on the 12"x 4" tee? Normally any branch connection below half the main doesn't need to be barred? ...Or so has been my experience.   ...Mark
