Parasolid assy that will retain the part names as an attribute

(OP)
I need to find out if there is a way to create a parasolid assy that will retain the part names as an attribute or some other feature.

RE: Parasolid assy that will retain the part names as an attribute

Hi,
Im also interest to known if its possible.
Howerver I am not able to create an parasolid assy, even whitout name, so If anyone know who to do it, it would be great.

thanks

RE: Parasolid assy that will retain the part names as an attribute

From NX, Export -> Parasolid does not produce a so-called Parasolid 'assembly'.  However, starting with NX 4, if you Import a Parasolid 'assembly' you will get an NX assembly.  I'm not defending that situation, just informing you of what reality is (at the moment).

I beleive exporting out to a step file will keep the assemby structure.
