Spiral baffles

Spiral baffles

Hi,
I wish I kept the sale literature when I had it but I didn't.  Can anyone remind me which company sells the spiral baffles for shell and tube exchangers?
Thanks.

Thanks Christine.  That's what it was.

RE: Spiral baffles

Here is another type that works in the tube. We have used this approach on several exchangers to improve/increase tube side heat transfer with good results.

Unclesyd,
Thanks but the improvements I need are for the shell side as I am cooling 9 to 12 API emulsion there.

Thank you again.  I didn't know Koch made them. I thought ABB patented those helical baffles.  I am asking a local fabricator to quote me a design with the ABB helixchanger.   But with this additional knowledge, I'd find another fabricator that can build the Koch exchangers and get a comparison.  Thanks Unclesyd.

RE: Spiral baffles

Have you considered Plate & Shell technology? Much more efficient than tubular with or without spiral baffles - approx 25 - 30% of the size. Fully welded plate pack within a shell
