PILE DRIVING ANALYZER

Dear Colleagues, someone knows if apart from the Pile Dynamics, Inc., there is other company that manufactures equipment to develop dynamic load testing and pile driving monitoring (Pile Driving Analyzer, PDA).

Thank you

RE: PILE DRIVING ANALYZER

No - I believe they have a monopoly.

RE: PILE DRIVING ANALYZER

Actually there is an alternative, particularly if you are considering concrete piles.

Several States have been testing the "Smart Pile" system which embeds the strain gauges and accelerometers in the pile and at the tip.  Information is passed from the sensors to a computer via bluetoothe type technology from a transmitter at the top of the pile.

A project I'm currently working on is looking at using it.  To get more information talk to the folks at Applied Foundation Technologies.

RE: PILE DRIVING ANALYZER

Profound also manufactures PDA testing equipment.  You can find out more from their website.

However, I have never used Profound's equipment.  I just know it exists.  I have always used PDI equipment.
