How to reduce the result files ?

How to reduce the result files ?

How to reduce the result files ?

(OP)
Hi all,

In my output result files, I took many informations in every time steps. So, now my result files are too large to store. In addition, my analyses take a long time to finish, so I cannot re-run these problems.

Is there any way to remove some of the undesired informations from the result files?

Any recommendations are highly appreciated. Thank you.

RE: How to reduce the result files ?

Yep there sure is.  Take a look at these three commands:

/AUX3
FILEAUX3
DELETE

@Stringmaker: thank you for your reply. Now I can solve my problem partially.

In my outputs, I took many unused nodes and elements. Is it possible to delete them from the result files?

I have checked all the /AUX3 commands. However, these commands seem to work on the SET only.

Bridge

RE: How to reduce the result files ?

Hello,

you can use the command outres. This will give you the possibility to completly suppress the output or define a component of elements or nodes to restrict the output just for that component.

Regards,
Alex
