Hey hi
i'm running matlab 7.3 as root
when i type in command window
!konqueror
or even unix('konqueror')
i get many errors, and if what i typed was a GUI ,it doesnt run very well ,atleast all the useful icons isnt there like open save .... ,saying "zlib version error"
i need to run this sort of applications through matlab,so any working way  ?
Thanks in advance

RE: Matlab Linux shell commands

Hiya-

konqueror is an application gui of KDE in linux. "I'm sorry, I  use "gnome" gui, so my info might be a bit rusty. Also, I don't know MATLAB.

But, if memory serves me correctly, konqueror is the name of the browser in KDE.  Maybe if you specify the full path to the  intended application "konqueror" you will have a little more luck.

   Cheers,

    Rich S.
