System Identification Code ADS-B

(OP)
Hey,

I've got a question about the ADS-B messages, especially the point on the system identification code (Data Item I021/010 "Data Source Identification" (EUROCONTROL STANDARD DOCUMENT FOR SURVEILLANCE DATA EXCHANGE, Part 12 : Category 021, ADS-B Messages)
What data is included besides flight no?

Cheers, Pete

RE: System Identification Code ADS-B

Pete,

Appendix A of Minimum Operational Performance Specification RTCA DO-260A describes it all.

It starts with list:

Airborne Position, Surface Position, Status, Identification, Airborne Velocity, Event-Driven Information, Data Link Capability, Common usage Capability, Mode S Capability, Aircraft Identification, Emergency/Priority Status, Target State and Status Information, Reserved, Operational Status

The list is followed by the 400 pages that describe each one in detail.

I looked it up out of curiosity.

If you really need to use the information, you'll probably want to purchase both volumes from RTCA.

Just Google to find them.
