Thermoflex and Gatecycle

(OP)
My company (EPC contractor) is currently deciding whether to acquire a heat balance software with additional features (e.g. equipment sizing, costing, layout, quick generation of specification sheets, etc) these softwares can offer.

We deal mainly with the Rankine steam and condensate circuit.
We have narrowed it down to GE's Gatecycle and Thermoflow's Thermoflex.

If possible, can you share (1) experiences with the two softwares (ease of use, learning curve, flexibility, off-design case designs, 'extra' features that differentiate etc) and (2) Comparisons between the two.

Appreciation in advance, any insights provided.

RE: Thermoflex and Gatecycle

Thermoflow sent me a one month trial version a year or two ago, for one of their other products.  I found the software very easy to use.  A request for the trial version can be made from their web page:  http://www.thermoflow.com/

Good Luck
