I see where it's been tried with WF3.0, but we no longer have maintenance, and I only have WF3.0 F000, which I've been told is too full of bugs to run.  So, I'm stuck with what I have WF2.0 M190.

Just curious if anyone has tried this.  I have an opportunity to upgrade to a much faster machine, but its running Vista.

RE: Wildfire 2.0 with Windows Vista

It may work, but it will be dog slow as the internal graphics dispaly routines are optimized for OpenGL and Vista supports DirectX. There is OpenGL support in Vista, but WF3 M070 will be the first release that has been tuned for it. You alos need to check to be sure that you have a graphics driver that is Vista certified for your OpenGL card. Initial tests with CAD apps showed them 50-75% slower under Vista.

Well, I found out my maintenance ended with WF3.0 M060.  So, I'm getting the discs and going to give it a try.  Figure its worth a try, huh?

I'm 99% sure the boss man won't spring for maintenance this time around, but I could be wrong...
