RE: Sticking Safety Valves on Refrigeration Packages

I am a Technical Sales Engineer for Seetru Engineering which manufacture safety valves and Liquid level gauges. We have recently developed a range of Inline Safety Valves with a unique sealing system which prevents sticking and repeat operation.

Please contact me on 0117 9306116 for futher infomation.

Made an error in my reply

"Unique sealing system which prevents sticking and repeat operation"

Should have read.

"Unique sealing system which prevents "sticking". The valve will also give repeat operation which is a benifit over other Refigerent Valve manufacturers.

RE: Sticking Safety Valves on Refrigeration Packages

If your operating pressure range is well removed from the MAWP of the vessel, one way around this problem is to reduce the set pressure of the valve to eliminate sticking of soft-seated valves as a problem.  Some vendors report the typical over-pressure they experience with their valves for varous set pressures.

The more you learn, the less you are certain of.
