Yet another BOM problem

Yet another BOM problem

Yet another BOM problem

(OP)
When I call up a BOM in 2007 I can't get it to give a column for the description.
Item No, Pt. No, & Quantity are there but no Description.
Can you help
Thanks

RE: Yet another BOM problem

Right click the table where you want it and add a column. Select the column and you have the option to set what "property" it uses...select Description.

Help - now when I click the dropdown box on a new assy drg I get 2 options (no description) one is SWElbowangle and the other is SWPipelength - where the hell did they come from as I've never used pipework?
I'm sure originally when I used BOM the Description came up automatically - can this be configured?
Cheers

RE: Yet another BOM problem

You'll need to save the BOM as a BOM template once you get it set the way you want it. Then set Solidworks where to find BOm templates in Tools/Options/File Locations/Bom Templates.
