Paving Over No. 57 Aggregate

(OP)
Hi
Could anybody share his/her experience on compacting asphalt layers over AASHTO No. 57 aggregate base. Does No. 57 move and prevent pavement from being compacted? Thanks

RE: Paving Over No. 57 Aggregate

Is the 57 stone crushed or round ?
In general a bad idea.
I have found that the pavement can have settlement issues under parked cars the asphalt can push in the the voids in the summer.
