Dox Blocks Question

Dox Blocks Question

Dox Blocks Question

(OP)
Hello,

I am looking for some information about Dox Blocks for a 1955 floor framing system. Any documentation regarding Dox Blocks, including span tables, material properties, and section properties, would be very helpful.

Thanks all.

RE: Dox Blocks Question

It will be tough to find. Do you have idea which of the configurations it might be?

Are you in Minnesota, Michigan or Ohio?

I saw a building with a long span roof truss system built in the 1950s or 60s out of Dox Block (or similar) and it is still performing beautifully.

I will get back if I come up with something on the plank.

Dick

RE: Dox Blocks Question

(OP)
The building is in Baltimore.

The blocks are 16" in section, with a trapezoidal cavity and typically 2-#5 bars. Span is about 13'. Floors have a 2" topping slab and roof has none.

Proper dimensions would be helpful as well as material properties and any other documentation.

Any ideas?
