Sump for Twin Seal Valve

Sump for Twin Seal Valve

Sump for Twin Seal Valve

(OP)
Hello,
I consider to install twin seal valves at a marine pier manifold (8") to avoid product contamination issue for multipurpose petroleum products unloading line.

As the pier is not connected to a slop tank we need to contain the bleed drains drips in routine and in case of leakage into a closed sump.

Do anybody has an idea of the volume/leakage flowrate/routine bleeding flowrate we should consider for 10 8" valves ?
Does anyone experience leakage aside valves open/close phases ?

RE: Sump for Twin Seal Valve

Why would they leak?  If you really want zero emissions, get a bellows seal on the stem.

You should seek the answers you are looking for from the manufacturer of the valves in question.  You must make certain who you talk with the designers not just a manufacturer who copied the design of others.  The original engineers can tell you exspected leakage rate from the bleed connections.
