Pressure casting material ASTM A494 is known as Hastealloy (nickle based casting alloy).this is having B and C commerical grade.i dont have idea in which are ASTM Grade they fall.

RE: hastealoy B and C

rotaryguy;
Please revise your post so that we can provide assistance. It is confusing to me and probably to others.

RE: hastealoy B and C

The "N" prefix alloys are derivatives of the "B" family.

The "CW" grades are of the 'C' alloy family.

Each alloy variation is for specific corrosion environments.  You need to know the details.

thanks Ed and doct. i confusion cleared by Ed pointing Grade CW and N prefix from ASTM A494. Doct appreciate your help in order to provide more technical detail for Hastealloy.

As far corrosion rate depends upon temperature and concentration of liquid.
