T60 UR Relay

T60 UR Relay

T60 UR Relay

(OP)
Having issues with the communication to a UR relay, think it's a networking issue and just looking for some quick info, right now our switch that the UR is plugged into is set to 1/2 duplex, I the UR is set to full duplex, need to make this change just wondering about the speed, whether it should be set to 100 or 10 within the switch,

Thanks

RE: T60 UR Relay

What port are you referring to on the T60?  It can have 10Base-T or fiber (or RS-485).

This is the ethernet port,

RE: T60 UR Relay

Actually, now that I think about it, I believe the T60 only has a fiber ethernet port?  The one I have experience with used 820 nm, multimode fiber and was half-duplex.

If you are using TCP/IP, you'll have to set an IP address for the relay.

RE: T60 UR Relay

The T-60 CPU always has an RS-232 port and can be purchased with the options of an RS-485 port, or 10/100 base F or T ports in certain combinations.  You'll have to look up your option code in the relay manual if you want to figure out what you've got (or look on the back of the relay!).

If the port is capable of 100 Mbps speed, it will autodetect the network packet speed and respond in kind.  If not, I would guess it needs to see 10 Mbps.

Regards,

JB
