Hi,
is there anybody out there with experince of XP Home edition? We can not set up the flexlm license. Is there a "hack" to enable to run the flexlm server?

We are using a hardware lock on the USB port.

RE: NX4/5 on WinXP home.

UG NX is NOT supportted on XP Home edition and never has been.
You need to have your hard drive formatted as a NTFS volume to install NX.

RE: NX4/5 on WinXP home.

I run NX4 on winXP. No problem.

RE: NX4/5 on WinXP home.

...and IF you DO have a single problem, you're outta luck on getting a fix for it.  It's a roll of the dice....some folks are wary and others don't care.

Not so sure "hack" is going to go over very well given the fact that UGS employees are present on this site...guess we'll find out by Monday.

Some people are like slinkies....they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

RE: NX4/5 on WinXP home.

As long as the 'hack' does not involve getting an illegal copy of NX running or getting a cloned system that increases someone's legitimate license count, there's not much we can say about it as long as you've provide us with a valid system ID and that's the system that the license server is installed on.  Of course if you have problems with the OS or the volume mounts or the network, you'll not get a lot of help from GTAC if you've been informed of what's officially supported and you've ignored those recommendations.
