Arbitrary colours in ACAD LT

Arbitrary colours in ACAD LT

(OP)
Hi, I'm quite new at using AutoCAD (2008 LT), so please indulge me if I'm asking something stupid, but I could not find it by using the search function.

Having used the trial version of AutoCAD (not LT), I was happy to have a colour picker much akin to that of most programs intended for graphic design, vector or pixel. In LT, I quickly noticed its absence.

Is there a way to use a colour that is not in the selection available, other than by importing a file that has the desired colour(s)?
