Is there a feature of SE to detect parts removed from a design that still exist in the folder system?  Sometimes I try several part designs before I'm happy with one and I would like to cast out the rejects.

BTW what do other of you do when composing a design?  Do you find you create many parts that you don't use?

Thanks dy,

Tried it out and seems to be just the thing for me.

RE: castaway parts

I'll sometimes create a few parts.  I normally name them similarly with just a differentiator somewhere in the file name.

This then makes it easier to remove the ones I'm not using from the folder.

Also (assuming you're not using some kind of PDM/PLM just windows file structure) I always put files I no longer need in a 'junk' folder.  I don't usually delete till the end of the project as more than once I've got confused and deleted the wrong thing.

RE: castaway parts

How do you get a reference to third party programs like this in to Solid Edge so they can be launched withou thaing to hunt for them in Windows?  Is that what the add in manager is for?  What is the reference to "registered" mean?
