Electric connectors?

Electric connectors?

Electric connectors?

(OP)
I know I have seen on job sites over the years underwater rated ecetrical plugs.  The application was on a water fountian in a lake.  In the fall they pulled the fountain to the shore, unpluged it and stored the fountian indoors. While the fountain was in use the plugs were under 15-20' of water.  I am trying to find these fitting and have on had any like.  I'm looking for ones that would fit 4/3 wg double jacketed wire and smaller.  Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Thanks for our help

RE: Electric connectors?

Do a Google search for "NEMA 6P cord caps". NEMA is a rating standard for electrical equipment, 6P means submersible. NEMA 6 is submersible also, but for a limited time. 6P is not time dependent. There is a limit to the depth test but I no longer own the NEMA test standards so I can't look it up for you. I think it was 6ft or maybe 2 meters, but don't count on that. That will be the closest you will find I believe.

RE: Electric connectors?

IP68 would be another good search term.

A.

RE: Electric connectors?

Have seen these connectors used in marine applications.

The site is very irritating. Never seems to decide what to show - changes all the time. But, if you can stand that, they have submersible connectors.
