Extruded hole cut at an angle? help!

Extruded hole cut at an angle? help!

Extruded hole cut at an angle? help!

(OP)
Hello all.

I am a newbie to Solidworks. I have figured out alot on my own like making simple cylindrical parts using revolved base.

I have searched all through the help sections and I have not figured out how to make a hole at an angle to the centerline of a part.

Again I am using the revolved base feature and I am creating round parts. I want to make holes going out from top center of the part going  through the sides of the part at an angle to the centerline.

I can make holes all day long all the way through the part at 0' to the centerline, but I want to make holes coming out at angles like 30' or 40'.

Make sense?

Any help would be appreciated.

thx

Matt

RE: Extruded hole cut at an angle? help!

You need to make a new plane at an angle and add the hole to the new plane. Look up angles in help and go through the turorials.
