.flatfile??

.flatfile??

.flatfile??

(OP)
I keep receiving files with the extension .flatfile.  The sender says they are CATIA v4 files but i have no way of viewing them.  Any suggestions? Can they be translated?

Thanks in advance.

RE: .flatfile??

the shot-in-the-dark question here,

its not just a file that can be renamed .model and then opened, right?

Right.  I've tried that.  I'm going to try to rename it to a .exp and try to import that to v4 and then to v5.  we'll see where that gets me.

RE: .flatfile??

Going from memory, I believe if you change the extension to '.exp' and then use the Catia V5 utility "ExtractModelFromSequential" it should come in.

Good luck.

thanks guys for all your help.  I was able to open with CATIA v5
