Dimensioning

(OP)
Hello, are there anyway to change all the dimensions from mm to cm without changing each one manually? Thank you in advance.

RE: Dimensioning

Go to Document Properties, Units, Change Length units to centimeter.

RE: Dimensioning

If you've already dimensioned everything, select all the dimensions (LMB while dragging right to left). In the 'Dimensions' property dialogue, choose 'more properties' at the bottom, then choose 'dimensions'. Under 'units', deselect 'use document's units', click 'units' and then select your new units. Click 'Ok', then 'Apply'.

RE: Dimensioning

There is also a filter (f5) so you can easily window select all the dimensions to change them together.

RE: Dimensioning

RE: Dimensioning

CBL, I haven't used the function, but what about the Scale Feature?

RE: Dimensioning

fcsuper ... The scale feature is literally that ... a feature, and will show up as such in the FM tree. Its main/original use (I believe) is to enlarge a component to allow for shrinkage of injection moulded or similar parts, and can be applied to individual, or groups of, dimensions. Like other features it can be rolled back or suppressed.

The ModelRescaler macro simply enlarges the component. It does not appear as a feature ... it changes the actual part. If the part needs to be changed back after its use, the macro has to be re-run to apply a suitable factor.
