(OP)
I have a situation where a Dresser 1758A-S2 Drum Valve with WCC Carbon Steel Body material was inadvertently installed on a 900F Superheater Outlet for approx 7 Days.  Does anyone know how this would affect the Safety Valve's structural integrity?  Should it be shutdown or can it handle the temp?
