Mixing dryer and kitchen exhaust??

Mixing dryer and kitchen exhaust??

Mixing dryer and kitchen exhaust??

(OP)
Can someone please tell if there is any reason why I can’t mix dryer and kitchen exhaust in a residential high rise as long as I have a grease interceptor?

If I can’t please tell me what code or standard you’re getting this info from.

Thanks in advances

Sincerely

RE: Mixing dryer and kitchen exhaust??

Dryer vent must be separate from kitchen exhaust per International Mechanical Code & National Fire Prevenion Association Standards.

Id dryer vent exceed 25 ft of equivalent length duct run, in line dryer vent booster fan is required. Google this out.

RE: Mixing dryer and kitchen exhaust??

Regardless of code, mixing lint filled air with grease-laden air seems like a receipe for disaster.

Think of the flammable crud accumulating in the ducts...
