Flaring tool for nylon

Flaring tool for nylon

Flaring tool for nylon

(OP)
Hello,

I am looking for a flaring tool to be used on 3/8" OD, 0.050" walll thick nylon tubing. Does anyone know of such a tool? Is any heat source required in forming the flare on the nylon?

Rgds,
Peter

RE: Flaring tool for nylon

If this is a fluid or pnuematic line, consider using ferrule or instant fittings instead of trying to flare the line.  If you heat the line to less than its melting point and flare it using an ordinary flaring tool, you can no longer be sure of its mechanical properties  IE: the tube may burst or even break at the flare.
