Thermoplastic ANSI Horizontal Centrifugal - Alternative Supplier

Looking for alternative vendors for ANSI style centrifugal pumps with wetted parts made from polyproperlyne and/or PVDF.

Conditions currently are for ~650 GPM @ 100 FT of head with low NPSHR, but we have many applications that range upto this flow rate.

Any have any reccomendations or success in the US?

Vanton Pump and Equipment in New Jersey.

Thanks jdarco,

I already have them on my list along with Sims Pump in NJ, which makes a composite pump.

You can also try Goulds Pumps or Flowserve.  Goulds carries lines which are FRP castings (I just took delivery on three of them) or PTFE lined cast/ductile iron.  I know Flowserve carries PTFE lined models, and seem to recall they carry solid FRP models too.

A couple more I just thought of!

Ansimag - www.ansimag.com - Thermoplastic lined
Fybroc - www.fybroc.com - Composite

Good luck.

RE: Thermoplastic ANSI Horizontal Centrifugal - Alternative Supplier

I don't know if Finish-Thompson's units go up that big, but they're worth a look.

I think Vanton is probably the most common that I see in this material.

(FYI - the FRP unit sold by Goulds is now made by Fybroc; the Goulds-made unit was discontinued).

RE: Thermoplastic ANSI Horizontal Centrifugal - Alternative Supplier

try CDR pumps - www.cdrpumps.co.uk

RE: Thermoplastic ANSI Horizontal Centrifugal - Alternative Supplier

Actually Goulds did discontinue their original NM3196 FRP pumps, however they have a new 4150 series of FRP pumps replacing it - a bit beefier than the old NM3196, but it's still basically a B73.1 pump.

RE: Thermoplastic ANSI Horizontal Centrifugal - Alternative Supplier

krupnikas,

Another plastic body pump manufacturer would be Munsch,

www.munsch.de

The American rep, pump pros, also rep Ansimag, and others,

www.pumppros.com

We had looked at their HDPE body pump for weak sulfuric acid, but the HDPE material was limited by temperature.  Munsch now seems to also have PP and Kynar materials for pumps. The horizontal pumps might not be ANSI standard dimension, but there seems to be a number in heavy duty mining service.

RE: Thermoplastic ANSI Horizontal Centrifugal - Alternative Supplier

Scipio, you're right - but guess who makes the 4150?

I checked out Finish Thompson, but they don't go over 330 gpm.
