ASTM A105 Equivalents? Help Required

(OP)
I'm being asked to source PN40 steel flanges to material grade RST37 & ASTM A105 in both SO & WN.
The material i have been offered is S235JR?

Can anyone tell me if this is an equivalent spec?

RE: ASTM A105 Equivalents? Help Required

RSt37 is old designation of German structural steel plate and shapes and is not the same as A 105 which is forged carbon steel for piping components,.

S235JR is European designation of structural steel and is similar to RSt37

RE: ASTM A105 Equivalents? Help Required

In european standard EN 10025 you can find the equivalence between EN designation( S235 JR) and german designation (ST 37)
