Heat of formation

Heat of formation

Heat of formation

(OP)
Hi all,

I know heat of formation of the compound (solid) at 25C. Its freezing point is 97F. How can I calculate heat of formation of this compound at required temperature of 125C (liquid state)?

Thanks to all in advance.

RE: Heat of formation

Use thermodynamics.

Hint: You need the heat capacities of the compound & its component elements (preferable as f(T) equations), plus the heats of any phase transformations occurring in the temperature range (such as the heat of fusion of the compound!).
