Printing Bsize laserjet shaded drawings

Printing Bsize laserjet shaded drawings

Printing Bsize laserjet shaded drawings

Printing on a HPlaserjet 8100. I cannot print a 11 x 17 if I have "shaded with edges" turned on. It will print a 8.5 x 11" fine, but not 11 x 17. If I select "hidden lines removed" it will also print fine on 11 x 17. Just not shaded.  Has anyone else experienced this?

RE: Printing Bsize laserjet shaded drawings

Try creating a pdf for the drawing, then printing that 11X17 pdf file.  See if that gives you a valid work-around.

Does it work fine in the Print Preview? If so, then your Print driver is the problem.

SBaugh,     Print preview looks fine. Do I need to download the latest drivers from HP? thanks

RE: Printing Bsize laserjet shaded drawings

The printer may be running out of memory trying to process the shaded 11x17 page.  With some printer drivers there is an option to process the job on the computer.  This is typically slower and sends a ton of data over the network to the printer.  But because the printer only has to have memory for what it is currently printing, those options can help in a jam.  Not sure where or even if your printer driver has that option.  Hope this helps.

Eric
