Vault Error 40 - PDMWorks

Vault Error 40 - PDMWorks

Vault Error 40 - PDMWorks

Everytime I tried to sign-in into the vault, an error message appeared, vault error 40 - could not validate user.  "Lockin" aborted.  Can anyone explain why this is happening since this is the first attempt to install the software on my local drive.

RE: Vault Error 40 - PDMWorks

It could be that your PDMWorks server needs rebooting.  Or that your connection to the server is bad (or both).

RE: Vault Error 40 - PDMWorks

Is it just you or do you have other users with the same problem? If there are others with the same problem or just you, restart the PDMW service.

Yeah, what Chris said. :)  Still has to be done at the server though.

Thanks for your reply, I am finally able to start PDMW on the local drive by mannually starting the PDMWService.exe from Services.  I am not so sure about connecting to the server, however I will try that next.

RE: Vault Error 40 - PDMWorks

After Day Light savings time starts or ends in the fall you may get an Error 40. To fix this Error problem, stop and restart the PDM service. However SolidWorks PDM Works has fixed this issue in 2007.
