RE: SolidWorks Robot

Let's see Torimoto-san send his robot to several different RP shops via email!

I like the tongue-in-cheek approach, but would rather stick with the whole "apples vs apples" thing.

"Art without engineering is dreaming; Engineering without art is calculating."

Have you read FAQ731-376 to make the best use of Eng-Tips Forums?

RE: SolidWorks Robot

The big problem with a vs-CAD sort of thing is that everyone knows that anyone can set up a system to trump a weak point in another system (how often do we see those cheesy Inventor vs SW or ProE vs SW stuff with little relevance to the real world?).  If they could do this without the use of an obvious straw-man, why not?  But I'm already jaded and don't buy it.  How many others might be the same?  And then they're left with something as useless as the dumb vertical-line-as-a-SW-learning-curve piece of marketing material--strange and mis-aimed.
