Equation problems

Equation problems

Equation problems

(OP)
Hi, I have two parts in a asemmbly. They have linked measure and are two parts only a little diffrent. 2 part is based on part 1.

When i join these two together i have noe problems, but if i now go in the equationlist in the parts, I got a set of ekstra set of measures. And they are not green but have a 8'symbol. If I try to delete iam not allowed, and if i try to change the green ones, the message: linked value allredy exist.

I can delete it on the part, delete det extra value in equation, and link it one again, but when i update in the assembly they came back...

please help, sorry bad language iam norwegian.

RE: Equation problems

The horizontal 8 symbol just shows the dimensions that are linked. That is normal and unless you are having a problem or receiving errors in your assy model, should be left as is.

OK, but I can't change the values, and that is the point with equations... If ill try Iam not allowd

RE: Equation problems

You have to change the dimension that owns the link or you can right click the dimension and select "unlink value".

RE: Equation problems

You should be able to change the value in any of the linked dimensions in the graphics area.

I don't know why the Equation editor does not allow changing the value. This may be a bug or just a limitation. Either way, perhaps you should report it to your VAR.

yes i can change it if I:

unlink values, so delete the extra values in the equationlist. So link it once again. But when i update it in the assembely they came back :(
