Can you make BOM # and part# the same?

Can you make BOM # and part# the same?

I was wondering if there is an easy way to force the catia BOM number to match the partnumber, short of writing a script to do it?

RE: Can you make BOM # and part# the same?

which field in the bom are you trying to match?

I want to match the catia generated number for ballooning and the PartNumber that appears in the tree.

RE: Can you make BOM # and part# the same?

That is script material, but why do you want to rename parts???  I would not recommend renaming parts,  if you work in cache mode you can lose links to other parts.

Derek
